Tom Devlin's Monster Museum, Boulder City, NV

Gift shop greeter at Tom Devlin's Monster Museum
We actually visited Tom Devlin's Monster Museum last year in November during our Las Vegas vacation over Veteran's Day weekend.  But since it was just Halloween, I've decided to blog it now.

At the time, we visited the museum at 10am on a Sunday (right when they opened) and we were the only ones there.  Back then, tickets were only $10 (+ $1.50 online service fee) for adults and free for children 10 and under.  Today they are $15 for adults, $7 for children 6-11, and only children 5 and under are free.  Still a very inexpensive excursion.
Doorman...
The museum is small, but mighty - packed, that is.  It is home to the art collection of special makeup effects artist, Tom Devlin, who's been working professionally for scary movies since 2001.  It includes representations of monsters throughout movie history, as well as his own creations from films he has worked on.
Just a few of the ghouls we saw at the museum...

Eek!
There are also placards with history and trivia for some of the props, as well as movie posters, and TV screens featuring scenes that made these creatures famous - plenty to read, learn, and browse.
A historical figure...
There are even some animatronic zombies.
If you are disturbed by creepy images, this is not the place for you.  The place is dimly lit and packed with ghouls.  The only light at the end of the tunnel is the gift shop, where you can reward yourself with a gift for surviving a night at the museum...
How about a pet?
