Lollipop land at Candytropolis in Woodland Hills, CA |
I happened to catch Sugar Rush Candytropolis on the Fever app. Being fans of the Candyland show on the Food Network, we decided to go on April 25, 2021.
Sugar Rush Candytropolis is an immersive outdoor walk-through experience of over-sized candy-themed displays set up in the parking lot of the Westfield Promenade in Woodland Hills, CA. To get there, drive in off Erwin St. and veer right. You can sign the digital waiver while waiting in line to check in. Masks are required and the line is more than 6-feet-socially-distanced. Once we were in we were free to move. It wasn't very crowded at all.
There are plenty of giant colorful candy-inspired exhibits to photograph, and performers dispersed throughout the park. There are also mats to jump on to activate some of the displays. At the end of the experience we got a bag of candy (nothing fancy) and went into a picnic area to eat our candy and play on the swings. Then we got some cotton candy from the souvenir shop on the way out. Check out the photos and video of our walk-through below to see what it's like.
It only took us a little over an hour to go through the experience. Bathrooms are at the exit of the experience; so plan accordingly, because there is absolutely no re-entry.
Tickets are normally $30 per person, but you can get a discount if there are 2 or more people in your party. If you're interested, get your tickets now. Candytropolis ends May 2, 2021.
